Dorset Harbours Strategy

The Dorset Council Harbours Committee have developed a Dorset Council Harbours Strategy to provide direction as to how Weymouth(External link), West Bay(External link) and Lyme Regis (External link)Harbours will develop over the next 10 years.

Dorset & East Devon FLAG

FLAGs are an initiative of the Marine Management Organisation and part of the European Maritime Fisheries Fund.  The Dorset & East Devon FLAG launched in March 2017 and was awarded £800,000 to deliver community-led Local Development in the area’s fisheries, aquaculture and seafood sectors between Swanage and Beer. This project completed in May 2020.

West Bay Coastal Defence Improvements

Following the storms in 2014, which flooded several areas of West Bay, the Environment Agency and Dorset Council have identified this popular coastal town as an area which requires improvements to its coastal defences. Improvement works were completed in September 2019.

Park Yoga

Park Yoga is an exciting project funded by the Fine Family Foundation, which provides free outdoor yoga sessions which Dorset Coast Forum helped to set up.
